The collection Re: shows approaches on how to react to the overproduction in the textile industry. The starting point was the complex connections of textile production, as well as the economic, political and social problems associated with it.
We not only wanted to make these structural problems visible, but also to break them up through our practical intervention in the existing production processes.
The result is a material study that deals with the use and transformation of textile waste products. It shows potentials for the design of innovative textile surfaces in cooperation with the regional textile industry. With our study, we want to create an appreciative relationship to the materials of our everyday life through recycled textiles. Because textiles touch us every day - literally and metaphorically.
