The "DreamWell with Polly" concept consists of the medical examination device "Polly", which measures the child's sleep summary during use and has been adapted to the standards of sleep laboratories for evaluation. It is a concept specifically tailored for children. The accompanying app "DreamWell" evaluates the data collected during sleep and provides a vivid representation for parents and doctors. It also provides a wealth of information about sleep and its importance in childhood. The aim of the concept is to avoid an inpatient examination in a sleep laboratory in order to save valuable resources in a hospital on the one hand, and on the other hand to prevent children's anxiety in a preventive way. This project shows the enormous potential for cooperation between designers and the healthcare industry and the need for a paradigm shift.
