Path Tiles uses GPS data to capture these special moments of individual experience and translates them into patterns that bring these memories into the physical world of visible and touchable textiles. This creates a deep connection between human and object.
The Path Tiles website is a tool that transforms journeys, recorded as GPS data, into knittable patterns. The aesthetics of the pattern can be further personalised by shifting, distorting, or mirroring it. The resulting design is then brought to life as a knitted object, becoming a materialised personal experience.
