Parfiltrémoi

Description

‘Parfiltrémoi’ is composed of the French words Parfum (fragrance), Filtre (filter), and Moi (me).
This coined term means ‘to be filtered through me’ and reflects the central idea of my project.
Have you ever perceived a particular scent and instantly experienced an intense memory or emotion? Perhaps a fragrance from your childhood or one associated with a loved one?
‘Scents are invisible, but they are powerful carriers of memories and emotions.’
With my project Parfiltrémoi, I have tried to create a way to preserve these memories and emotions in a tangible form.
To design this brooch, I created the 3D model and the shape of the paper on the computer and produced the design using a 3D printer and a plotter.
It is my wish that wearing Parfiltrémoi reminds the wearer of these special moments and brings the associated feelings back to life.
