Expanding the Use of Paper

“paper studies” aims to show that the possibilities of using paper have not yet been exhausted. The paper industry in Germany produces as much waste as it does paper. Most of it gets recycled, but the products remain limited to the areas of graphics, hygiene and packaging. By experimenting and reshaping, more can be created from the material than ever before. New opportunities for use are demonstrated with the help of an example object. The resulting acoustic panels are made of pressed and hardened paper and serve to improve interior acoustics. The paper panels are completely recyclable and can be used again for other projects. The tests have shown the strength of the material, which opens up further possibilities for products for interiors or in the field of architecture.
