Description

For my bachelor project, I chose a topic that combines current social issues with my personal interests. The starting point is Berlin’s potential Olympic bid for 2036, 2040, or 2044. The year 2036 in particular is a subject of controversial debate, as it marks the centenary of the 1936 Olympic Games, which were used by the National Socialists for propaganda. At the same time, this date offers the opportunity to present Berlin as an open, diverse, and modern metropolis and to make a reflected approach to history visible.

In response to this, I have developed a modern, colorful, and responsible visual identity that reflects the diversity of Berlin. Contemporary typography, a well-thought-out color concept, and a dynamic pattern system create an independent visual identity. This creates a clear contrast to 1936 and the focus is on an open-minded, future-oriented Berlin.
