Woven seating based on three-dimensional 5-, 6- and 7-sided weaving techniques.
Description
Project ‘Nr.567’ deals with the production of a three-dimensional wicker chair. The aim was to control the design of the surfaces and to develop a self-supporting structure by combining 5-, 6- and 7-cornered wickerwork structures. The result of the research is an armchair and a matching footstool. Both objects consist of the three different weaving techniques and illustrate the potential of three-dimensional woven structures.
