Description

Enforcing old-fashioned gender roles and largely ignoring the needs of families with young children: public changing tables are mainly located in women’s bathrooms and are lacking in terms of hygiene, ergonomics and safety. “Nenu”,a modern concept for a diaper changing station, hopes to promote a child-friendly approach in designing public infrastructure to improve families’ experiences during outings. The station is accessible in semi-public spaces. It includes not only a height-adjustable and comfortably spacious changing surface, but also a privacy screen for this intimate moment. A more playful look and optimized product structure offer comfort for both parents and child and allow for an easy integration in a variety of locations. More diaper-changing facilities that have been sensitively designed are an important step towards child-friendly cities and a vibrant and diverse community.
