In my bachelor’s thesis, I examined museums in the digital age. Inspired by my work as a concept designer at an agency for media scenography, I wanted to reflect on my experiences, apply them independently and further develop my skills. I asked myself the question: How can museums effectively use digital technologies to present content interactively and accessibly, thereby enhancing the visitor experience? To answer this question, I conducted interviews with two experienced concept designers and analysed two museums in terms of their strengths and weaknesses. Based on these insights, I developed concrete guidelines, which then formed the basis for the practical part of this thesis. For this, I designed a concept for the Egyptian Museum in Berlin. To illustrate the idea, I created a pitch video and produced 3D-printed objects to make the concept more tangible.
