Description
MultiLine is an export packaging made of expanded polystyrene (EPS) developed in cooperation with Allgaier GmbH, which challenges conventional wooden crates. The project investigates how existing material flows can be rethought through intelligent design, lightweight construction, and recyclability. The result is a modular packaging system made of unmixed EPS panels and additively manufactured connectors, which can be transported flat, assembled without tools, and disassembled non-destructively. Through the consistent separation of all components, the materials remain pure and potentially recyclable. At the same time, the low dead weight reduces transport effort and handling costs. MultiLine does not view packaging as a short-lived consumer product, but as a reusable system at the interface of logistics, material cycles, and product design.
