Description

This bachelor thesis deals with modularisation and was carried out in cooperation with the company Sartorius. Sartorius is a leading international partner of biopharmaceutical research and industry.

This conceptual work includes the analysis of the modularisation potential of two representative product groups from the bioprocess product portfolio of Sartorius. Modularisation offers the possibility to adapt products to rapidly changing market conditions and to implement a sustainable development concept. The concept shows the division of products into discrete modular components. The focus of development is on user-centred design, logical user guidance and a simplified product structure. Modern design processes minimise the effort required to create the modular components. Standardised module interfaces offer the company further development potential.
