The collection ‘modi funis – I AM THE PRINTER’ revitalises textile craftsmanship through digital aesthetics and manufacturing techniques. Digital media shape our everyday lives, drive us towards perfection, and simultaneously create a sense of alienation. The merging of analogue and digital worlds holds the risk of cultural loss. modi funis explores how digital fascination can enrich craftsmanship. Inspired by 3D printing, novel textile surfaces emerge, redefining form and cut. Cords shape themselves along traditional seams and extend beyond them into continuous surfaces. Couture elements stage the textile sculpturally on the body. The collection demonstrates how fashion honours craftsmanship while integrating digital technology.
