A large-format research archive on the diversity of shame.
Shame is a feeling. It is quiet and individual. It is the uneasy feeling of being wrong. A look at the extremes shows: shame builds systems, writes laws, shapes words, invents products, censors images, and bends bodies. In addition to one’s own narrative approach, other designers were invited to visually translate their personal associations with the topic. These perspectives are collected, categorized, and re-examined in an archive. The result is a multi-voiced, fragmentary space about the instrumentalization of an emotion.
