Description

Life is adaptation.
We are artists when it comes to adapting our environment to ourselves.
How we adapt to one another, however, is harder to grasp.
The connections we form do not always make sense. But that doesn’t concern us. We take and we give, we bend ourselves into one group and impose our values on another. We can choose whose well-being we serve and even intentionally do things that are disadvantageous for mere survival.
‘Mimicrisis’ deals with the connections we form with other people. Through a system of variably linkable garments, forms emerge from multiple bodies that visualize and make social connections and distortions tangible through performance.
