Mamira is an interactive guide for breast self-examination on a smart mirror. Although breast palpation plays an important role in the early detection of breast cancer, only about 10–15% of women perform it regularly. Mamira closes this gap with a gesture-based system that guides users step-by-step through the examination, making the process accessible, sensitive, and easy to understand. The system lowers barriers, strengthens awareness of breast health, and integrates self-examination into daily self-care – for example, in lingerie stores or at home.
