Data centers are being built by large tech corporations worldwide at the speed of a race to create massive infrastructures for AI and cloud computing. This is where our everyday data converges, only to finally return to us as appealing content tailored to our interests and tastes, in turn feeding an AI that is penetrating ever deeper into our lives.
Login_Sanctuary_ represents a fictional scenario in which the human being exists as a data producer. When the ‘daily nourishment’ that conditions them, coming in regulated portions, suddenly breaks in uncontrollably, the human increasingly loses their autonomy and self-control. In the process, everyday reality and the data world synchronize to such an extent that their boundaries inevitably disappear. The work examines the tension between human physicality and digital dependency—and poses the question: Where am I really?
