Description

The exhibition concept “Light – art. projection. immersion.” examines light as a creative, narrative, and powerful medium in the museum space. It critically examines how light directs perception, stages spaces, and generates meanings. Historical light architectures of sacred spaces and political mass stagings are placed in relation to contemporary “Immersive Experiences”, whose spectacular aesthetics reproduce similar mechanisms of action. The work combines phenomenological, art-historical, and cultural-critical perspectives and questions immersive light installations between commercialization, power structures, and sensory overwhelm. Through an interactive, creative intervention, a space for reflection is created that directly and critically breaks open the relationship between viewer, exhibition, and immersive staging. In doing so, new forms of knowledge transfer are tested as a physically experienceable practice.
