LÄISA
Der Lasercutter für Klein und Groß
Description
LÄISA is a mobile enclosure and interface designed for the safe and child-friendly use of laser cutters. It was developed for schools and children from the age of eight. Users place a hand drawing of the desired cutting contour on the fold-out work surface. A camera captures the shape, and a projector projects it back onto the work surface. Projected instructions and graphics guide users to the finished component. Wooden boards up to 12 mm thick can be inserted, and the contour is processed and cut out. The device replaces the need for professional software and opens up the use of laser cutters to a wide target group. Smoke is generated during cutting; the lockable service flap allows tool-free replacement of the internal extraction system’s air filters. The enclosure is height-adjustable and can be adapted to different age groups or standing work. LÄISA is wheelchair-accessible and can be operated with one hand.
