Music video and silkscreen edition for the song »Bergauf« by Lea Falkenhan. The project examines the translation of music into visual systems. The starting point is the ephemerality of live visuals, which connect sound and image directly but are rarely permanently fixed. The goal is the transformation of these processes into a sustainable visual format as well as the linking of creative coding, digital moving images and analog print. The song »Bergauf« deals with themes such as partnership, self-overcoming and disorientation in alpine visual worlds. This results in a visual narrative composed of landscape shots, animated typography and digital image structures. The aesthetics of dithering are based on alpine textile craftsmanship and historical embroidery patterns, whose grid structures show parallels to digital image systems.
