Description
Keine Kinkerlitzchen is a participatory design project that examines how new approaches to craftsmanship can be created. The starting point is the observation that many children and young people hardly have any points of contact with contemporary craftsmanship anymore. At the same time, outdated ideas contribute to the fact that manual professions are often not perceived as an attractive perspective.
As part of an independent pilot project, workshops were developed and conducted outside the school context. The participants got to know digital and analog tools, worked with CAD and rendering, set up machines, and developed their own designs. Together, furniture and smaller objects were created, which were accompanied from the initial idea to the final implementation.
