Description

Keepsakes, curiosities and souvenirs; we usually have a particularly strong and personal attachment to these objects. The concept of my work strives to create a unique place for these things of emotional value. This special space, which I conceive as a kind of shrine or altar, showcases the objects and emphasizes their value. The focus is on sorting and aesthetically arranging the items in order to create a visually appealing and harmonious presentation. The shrine is therefore more than just a place of storage; it is a place of interaction that enables users to cultivate a personal relationship with their special objects and thus thematize themes such as long-lasting appreciation and sustainable object culture. The system of wooden bowls, boxes, stands and candle holders enables to freely design an individual keepsake shrine. The magnetic elements can be combined with each other in a variety of ways and serve as pedestals for our most cherished objects.
