The project focuses on the topic of domestic violence and seeks a suitable object for storytelling. Ultimately, the door was chosen as a symbol with a protective function. It is particularly frustrating when the door, as the last line of defence, fails: due to a blockade, for example. The blockade has a dual meaning, as it not only signifies the failure of the door but also points to dysfunction within the family. Not only that, but everyday objects that are typically harmless are used as means of perpetrating violence. The intention was to analyse the reasons for domestic violence and to contribute to the societal discussion through the chosen object. In our world, society is largely dominated by men. The conventional image of masculinity assumes that men must always be brave and strong. Those who do not conform to this image run the risk of domestic violence.
