Ima Summis
Kontemplativer Raum – von Architektur zum Gefäß
Description
Ima Summis explores how religious dogma manifests itself in the ascetic simplicity of monastic architecture and how the sacred is evoked through rhythm, proportion, materiality, and light. At its core is the correlation between architecture and vessel — both function as containers for space and light. Their shared phenomenological qualities — such as tactility and tonality, scale and proportion, repetition and rhythm, mass and void — are transferred from the architectural context into the design of ceremonial vessels. The aim is to make contemplative depth tangible in secular form and to reveal the immaterial, symbolic, and ritual qualities of design objects.
