This project examines the deep involvement of smartphones in everyday life within the context of contemporary accelerated society. In an increasingly accelerated social environment, people gradually become dependent on efficiency and immediacy, and this logic continues to permeate activities that were once relatively independent, such as eating.
Based on this observation, the project develops a series of conceptual and critical eating utensils, transforming the smartphone into an essential part of the act of eating. Only when the phone is combined with the utensils can eating be completed.
Through this counterintuitive setup, the project reveals the hidden role of the smartphone in the dining situation and seeks to make people aware that the logic of acceleration exists not only on a macro-social level, but has also already permeated the details of everyday life.
