Description

The sourcing of resources and their responsible use is a fundamental question of our time on a planet with finite means. Nevertheless, a large proportion of today’s goods are produced in ways that make the recovery of used materials difficult or economically unfeasible. Production methods that promote careless resource consumption through artificially shortened product lifespans are particularly prevalent in electronic devices. HRG-75 is the design of a mixer that counters the short lifespan of small kitchen appliances. Power transmission is purely mechanical, allowing electronics to be completely omitted. In addition, modular attachments combine the functionalities of various kitchen appliances. All components are assembled in a way that allows them to be easily separated, enabling independent repairs, while the use of standardised parts leaves room for future upgrades.
