Holle

Description

The topic of this bachelor thesis was “Design and (Innovation-)Research: A Simple Electronic Device for Seniors, Developed in Cooperation with the Fraunhofer Institute”. In-depth research and collaboration with senior citizens led me to the problem of making a bed, which has never had a product solution before. “Holle” is affixed to the corners of the mattress during a one-time installation. The system contains a pulley which gets attached to the bedsheet with a clamp. When the button on the matching remote gets pressed, it pulls the sheets under the mattress. The product can also help fix the blanket, so the covers can be drawn up. Thanks to its ease of use, “Holle” succeeds in being a universal design that is accessible to everyone.
