The Earth is heavily affected by the current climate change and its ecological consequences. One of the key challenges is to ensure the sustainable use of natural resources. Tops and trousers, as well as shoes in particular, are often only used for a short time. Almost one in two people states that they will sort out shoes, tops and trousers within less than a year. It is important and appropriate to find ways to help limit waste and reduce excess. A shift towards resource-conserving, fair and conscious use must be the goal. My practical thesis addressed these points, with an emphasis on shoes, and dealt with the impact of “fast fashion”on our lives in the coming decades. The lack of awareness of valuable resources was called into question.
