HIIVE provides a better home for honey bees. HIIVE allows beekeepers to keep their bees in a natural way by supporting the natural behaviour of Apis mellifera.
With its volume and special microclimate inspired by nature, HIIVE is the first industrially producible tree cave - the natural habitat of bees.
The bee house is made exclusively from recycled and natural materials. Together with the integration of sensors and a companion app, HIIVE enables an all new species-appropriate beekeeping experience.
Throughout the development we set the focus on a human-animal-centred design. The result is the perfect interplay between the demands that honey bees have on their habitat and the usability and ergonomics for beekeepers.
