Description
In the initial examination of the influence of demographic change, the needs of different age and social groups in everyday processes were investigated. The negotiation of a staircase in different situations and with individual resources ultimately forms the core of the concept. Cary represents a new type of retrofittable stair lift. When used as a climbing aid, individual competencies are to be maintained; as a cargo lift, it is possible to transport heavy everyday objects safely; and as a passenger lift, the stairs can be mastered in a manner comparable to an escalator. In contrast to existing solutions, needs across age groups are thus addressed in order to offer more comprehensive support for more people.
