Description

Designing products from biodegradable polymers in combination with renewable raw materials in a new circular economy could be an innovative solution for the earth's waste scenario. The work Hemp instead of Plastic uses a process development to investigate to what extent a biocomposite made of hemp fibres and various biologically produced or recycled plastics functions as a sustainable design. Based on the fact that the consumer's emotion determines how long-lasting certain products are and that mass consumption in this country is monstrous, a concept is being developed for a combination of handbag, shopping container and fruit display that gives its environmentally conscious owner a good feeling and thus gains in longevity. The function: should, if possible, be usable without socio-cultural preferences. Shopping with the product should simplify the process as mostly observed. The product should be multifunctional.
