Politics Shapes, We Design.

The ‘Gestaltungszentrale Politik (e.V.)’ is the result of an ongoing examination of the understanding of design in politics from a design perspective during my studies and graduation at the HFBK Hamburg. Starting with a theoretical discourse on the peculiarities of both worlds, followed by practical observations of the daily work of members of parliament, a picture of a very result-oriented understanding of design in politics emerged. As a practical intervention, the initiative aims to understand creative processes in politics in a more explorative way and to support elected representatives in corresponding projects. The basis for this work is to record and clarify how politics is organised in the first place. The initiative is already working on two pilot projects with members of the Bundestag and political scientists.
The initiative is a non-commercial and non-partisan programme aimed at democratic actors.
