Description

‘Clayer’ is a modular and stackable ceramic system that enables resource-efficient food management in the home. It offers versatile functions such as optimal storage, fermentation for natural preservation, gentle food preparation through steam cooking and natural cooling through evaporation. With three modules of different sizes, each function can be used flexibly in each module to meet the different needs of the household. The functions are activated by water, so the system does not require electricity. ‘Clayer’ is made of ceramic. The functions are optimally supported by the partial use of glaze: glazed surfaces ensure hygienic handling and protection against odours and stains, while unglazed areas allow moisture to be absorbed and released. ‘Clayer’ enables a conscious and resource-saving handling of food in the home.
