Description

Thinking Taste examines taste not as a mere sensory impression, but as a culturally, cognitively, and technologically shaped system. Based on a systemic analysis of the food system, the work asks how preferences arise, are manipulated, and can stabilize or change social structures. With the developed tool “Fractal Kiosk”, personal taste experiences become readable as a reflection of larger ecological, economic, and political dynamics. The resulting interactive exhibition makes taste physically experiential as a memory, conditioning, norm, and possible lever for transformation. Between design research, speculative future, and multisensory intervention, the work opens up a new perspective on what we do every day – tasting.
