Description

Our cities are changing into climate-friendly places with a high quality of life. This requires new forms of socially just and ecological mobility. With OTO, we have designed a small electric vehicle specifically for use with sharing platforms. The central idea was to create a means of mobility that is accessible to all, safe, affordable and agile. OTO fills a gap in the urban mobility network and allows citizens to give up private cars. OTO is lightweight, economical, and self-charges via solar energy. OTO takes passengers to their destination, keeping them safe, dry and comfortable. Large windows and an upright seating position allow a wide field of vision and communication at eye level. OTO's low mass and driving power are appropriate for the city and make traffic safer. The service concept envisages the installation of mobility stations at neighborhood edges: Neighborhood streets can be unsealed and used for encounters and free movement.
