Description
Forest Souvenirs transforms discarded aluminum car rims into a modular system of robust connectors for everyday objects. The elements consist of 100% recycled aluminum and are combined with collected, selected, and processed wooden branches. In this way, chairs, lamps, coat racks, or clothes hangers are created from found materials. Instead of finished products, Forest Souvenirs offers a simple metallic interface that invites active participation. The glue-free system is easy to assemble, reusable, and fully recyclable. It extends material cycles and promotes long-term use. A hybrid design language emerges between industrial logic and nature-based design. The project connects to the archetype of self-built furniture, strengthens emotional attachment, material awareness, and the connection to the environment – and turns users into co-designers.
