Fluid Landscape Conditions
About the solidity of a memory
Description
The project ‘Fluid Landscape Conditions’ deals with the deconstruction, unlearning, and decolonisation of traditional design norms, particularly on the web. It reflects on who has access to design and coding and which visual conventions are being reproduced on the web. The aim is to open up perspectives that emphasise subjectivity in design and present a differentiated alternative to the conservatively established rules of graphic design and digital aesthetics.
There are two designs for a website.
Building on this, the project links geopolitical issues with reflections on changing landscapes and design conventions. It raises questions about preservation and how to deal with transience, as well as the acceptance of change and not-knowing.
