A Love Letter to Copper
Description
‘finding traces and placing connections’ is an interactive art installation and a personal love letter to the material copper. The work celebrates the functionality, versatility, and beauty of copper.
Visitors can connect the copper surfaces embedded in the carpet using five copper-plated stones, thereby controlling the sound and light in the space.
The composition for the work was generated from recordings created through interactions with copper objects.
Each activated surface lights up and adds an audio track to the composition.
This creates not only an interaction with the work itself but also an interaction between visitors. Through this interplay, individual compositions and combinations of audio tracks emerge, constantly creating new variations of the sound.
‘finding traces and placing connections’ invites discovery and listening.
