Description

The book “Tell Me About Home” is a photographic narrative about migration, home, and identity. The focus is on five women who emigrated from the Ural region as adults to build a new life for themselves in Germany. The project brings together portraits and photographs of living spaces and brought-along keepsakes with personal stories of the women in two languages.

“Tell Me About Home” creates space for individual migration experiences and makes different perspectives on identity and belonging visible. The personal stories invite reflection on origin, self-determination, and integration. The documentary and biographical approach is emphasized by artisanal book design, from the thread stitching to the hot foil stamping on the velour cover.
