A provocative music video about patriarchal role models in the East German context.

With a provocatively humorous song and music video, this project makes East German identity visible as a powerful resource for strong women and subversively turns patriarchal role clichés as well as West German East-stereotypes upside down with a wink. The artist, who comes from Dresden and is also shooting the music video there, draws on her own East German socialization and biographical experiences. The song and video deliberately play with nostalgia and GDR symbolism, address the still unresolved questions of reunification, and clearly position themselves against right-wing narratives. From a personal perspective, the project combines social and political topics with questions of origin, identity, and the contradictions of East German realities of life.
