Demographic developments and the poor working conditions for caregivers mean that the need for outpatient care services is likely to increase and the shortage of personnel will worsen. In order to be able to provide care in a familiar environment into old age, solutions are needed to counteract this trend, relieve the burden on caregivers and improve working conditions. A large part of the working time of outpatient care workers is spent traveling to patients. An adequate mobility offer therefore has the potential to shorten the time between patient changes, which can free up time for patient care. Based on a detailed analysis of the interaction of caregivers with the care vehicle, requirements were defined and two interaction concepts were developed. In an iterative process, one concept was mapped in an ergonomic vehicle interior in the form of a virtual mockup.
