Description
This work examines the spoon through artisanal practice as a culturally and symbolically charged everyday object. The starting point is experimental work in different materials and workshops. Design and production are inseparably intertwined in this process; insights arise from direct engagement with material, tools, and process.
In the course of the work, a collection of handmade spoons is created, which is understood not as a product series, but as an open research ensemble. Only through accompanying research does the collection condense into a curatorial concept: linguistic idioms and metaphorical expressions surrounding the spoon become the organizing principle of the work. Each spoon stands in relation to an idiom and translates its immaterial meaning into material, form, and artisanal gesture.
The work culminates in an exhibition concept in which object, language, and action are brought together.
