The new Chinese style
with a focus on the Chinese orchid

The work began with the study and analysis of symbols and elements of traditional Chinese culture, focusing on the representation of the Chinese orchid.
In ancient times, the orchid was a metaphor for human character and elegance. It symbolises high quality and the pursuit of perfection. This work presents jewellery in a new Chinese style and sees itself as an international mediator. Elements, materials and colours from Chinese culture have been combined with new digital manufacturing techniques. The 3D printed support structure serves as a design element.
This work deliberately seeks to push the boundaries of traditional materials and craftsmanship. It is a natural product with industrial, futuristic elements; a fusion of national elements from different Chinese dynasties with the present and the future.
