Description

‘BINVISIBLE’ is an innovative litter bin designed to have a positive impact on the urban environment by reducing litter. The upper, visible part, into which waste is thrown, picks up on patterns and shapes that can be subconsciously recognised and associated. The lower part, on the other hand, can be discreetly integrated into the cityscape through the choice of colours and materials, or can reflect the values of the place and its culture through the use of familiar symbols, images or art associated with the location. The project has two objectives: On the one hand, the container should become part of the place, without standing out as infrastructure. On the other hand, the visible function should signal to passers-by that this is the place to dispose of waste. “BINVISIBLE” is cost-effective and durable thanks to its simple, robust design and good reparability. In this way, everyone can make a contribution to reducing litter and improving the urban environment.
