Dear My Memories

Description

As a multidisciplinary project, ‘Dear My Memories’ consists of a research-based publication as well as a series of conceptual artistic works. The thematic focus of the project lies in investigating the unreliable nature of the human memory system in the context of the post-digital age, both based on the brain’s various functional limitations compared to digital data storage and in relation to the impact of contemporary influences from the virtual world on our internal memories.
This fundamental motif is addressed not only conceptually within the various works but is also metaphorically realised through the continuous visual-technical symbiosis of analogue and digital materials, based on the conceptual approach of transmediality.
