Description

“Chromatic Narratives” explores tie-dye as a fusion of color psychology and artistic expression. Each hue and pattern tells a story without words, capturing inner emotions: warm colors radiate energy, while cool tones offer calm.

The project bridges generations and cultures, preserving traditional techniques like Japanese shibori while embracing modern, eco-friendly fashion. By examining shibori’s history and the psychological impact of color on fabric design, this study champions environmentally and socially conscious style alternatives.

Research focuses on testing traditional folding, twisting, and binding methods on natural fabrics like cotton, linen, and silk. It also pushes boundaries by experimenting with synthetic and mixed textiles to uncover new visual possibilities in sustainable design.
