In(ter)section — Visual confrontation with insects to stimulate new perspectives
Insects are primarily anchored in Western society as “vermin”. Furthermore, people primarily commit themselves to the conservation of species that they find appealing. “In(ter)section” aims to reflect personal attitudes towards insects and to draw attention to relevance and biodiversity. Through the use of specifically developed, insect-based “wearables”, visitors are offered the opportunity to engage with insects in a distanced and impressive way and to develop new perspectives on them.
