Description

Organic waste often goes unused and is not recycled. ‘BioBits’ is a four-part service system that reduces the inconvenience for users and the logistical burden for waste management companies. Organic waste is taken to decentralised facilities where it is dried into organic chunks and pyrolysed into biochar, which is used to produce humus and improve depleted soils. The process generates heat that is converted into electrical energy. An app provides users with motivational information and statistics. A foldable, reusable bucket facilitates transport and can be exchanged at vending machines. ‘Biobits’ product solutions promote the separation and disposal of organic waste and facilitate its proper management from generation to processing. Users notice a direct effect through correct disposal.
