Description
A waste bin — everyday and familiar — addresses questions of efficient production, storage, transport, individual configuration, autonomous assembly, and recyclability.
From translucent polypropylene film, a volumetric body — a waste bin — is created in just a few simple steps, available in three sizes with variations for lids and arrangement.
The design focuses on a system of zipper-like tabs to securely connect the flexible material sheets. All elements are produced using a fast and scalable die-cutting process. Flat-packed, energy and space consumption during transport is reduced.
Thanks to the deliberate and consistent use of a single material and the resulting connection, the waste bin can be fully and cleanly recycled.
