Finding one’s way through the wide range of art exhibitions and institutions can be a challenge. The platform ArtJourney offers comprehensive support for everyone from art newcomers to experts on their individual journeys of discovery through Germany’s art museum landscape: from discovering their areas of interest and searching for suitable exhibitions, to bookmarking favourites, documenting exhibitions they have actually visited, and sharing their impressions with the community.
The website thus serves as an innovative channel for art museums to increase their appeal, provide a broad new audience with an overview of their exhibitions, and motivate them to turn their interest into an actual museum visit.
This final project explores how design can be created with and for art at its centre — without overshadowing it.
