Description
Task: ADHD is invisible. Millions of people struggle with a disorder that no one can see. This leads to misunderstanding, prejudice and the demand to just “pull oneself together” now. Hardly anyone knows what exactly ADHD is – often not even those affected.
Idea: A monkey as a translation for ADHD. What rages invisibly in the brain is made visible by the headstrong companion: sometimes quite funny, sometimes inappropriate, but always there, the monkey creates easy access to complex neurological processes.
Solution: An illustrated non-fiction book: sometimes objectively accessible, sometimes teeming almost overloaded – just like ADHD. The monkey acts as a narrative anchor and as a continuous design element.
In the area of tension between seriousness and humor, many scientific facts are explained and made tangible – for those affected as well as for the broader society.
